2 week & 2 year pictures

Here is a preview of Bryce's 2 week and Tyler's 2 year pictures. We will get the rest next week.

the boys!!

Dan and I take turns setting up a new track design with Tyler each night. Not sure which of us has more fun!
Dad took Tyler to see his first movie and they had a great time! We went to the theatre at the mall so Bryce and I could shop while they watched the movie. That way if Tyler got bored with the movie he could join us but he stayed the whole time.

Dan's back to work...we're figuring it out!

Tyler, Bryce, and I stopped at Babies r Us and then visited Dad at work for our first outing by ourselves.
My mom made us a delicious lasagna dinner!
Tyler continues to be a GREAT big brother and loves to help!
No more sponge baths! Bryce was able to take his first bath. Tyler helped soap and rinse. Great helper!
Tyler shared his puppy with Bryce and it captured his attention. Tummy time...to work on strength or to take a nap...
The most exciting update with Bryce this week is that he is awake more! Last week he was very sleepy and was only briefly awake other than to eat. We are enjoying what he gives us. So far both boys are getting along great and they haven't fought for attention.

Bryce's 1st Week

Bryce's 1st week at home went by so fast but was wonderful. We enjoyed the company of family and friends as well as enjoyed time to ourselves! Bryce is very easy going which is great because while he just wants to sleep we are always distrupting him for something but he just settles back into sleep. So far he has only briefly fussed during his 1st bath, when we wake him up to change him, and sometimes getting put in the car seat. He is getting up every 3 hours (generally) at night. Tyler has adapted incredibly. Still no signs of jealousy and he is anxious to help when he can. Hope this continues!

Grandpa Owen with the boys.
Grandpa and Grandma Schaus with Bryce.
Bryce meeting my grandma.
Bryce was unsure about his first sponge bath at home.
Much happier in his pj's afterward.
Bryce was making some noises as he was waking up from a morning nap and Tyler rushed over to show concern and offer a toy.
Bryce ready for his first trip to the zoo.
Big brother Tyler was anxious to take Bryce on the zoo train.
1st tummy time.

Bryce on his first playdate. Just 5 days apart.
Tyler wanted to hold her too.

Bryce Emerson Schaus is here!!

Family photo before we left for the hospital. On Thursday afternoon I went in for my weekly check and the doctor didn't understand why I wasn't feeling contractions because I was in labor. They hooked me up to a machine to monitor the contractions and decided that we should go home...eat and grab our bags and meet her back at the hospital.
At the hospital we had an uneventful evening. Early Friday morning (April 9th) I started feeling the contractions but they were still painless. At 7:45 I decided to let the doctor break my water, I started feeling pain and wanted to push at 8:15 and Bryce was born at 8:28. (Bryce's face was a little black and blue due to the fast delivery but is already almost back to normal color.) We are all doing great!! Bryce is such a sleepy boy and isn't really awake other than to eat. Tyler is so sweet to his little brother and has handled the events of the last day and half better than I could have imagined. Tyler has also enjoyed all the time he has gotten to spend with Grandma!
We were anxious to get home so the doctors gave us the ok to come home early Saturday morning.
