Merry Christmas!! (16 Weeks)

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Dan and I had a peaceful holiday at home. We caught up on all sorts of Christmas movies. Our poor tree isn't quite making it through Christmas...the branches are sagging so much we've had ornaments falling off for a week. I am enjoying as much holiday eating as I can and plan to say it is all baby weight!!

I haven't felt any confirmed baby movements yet but I have had some fluttering that I believe to be the baby. I began to wear materity clothes this week! They are wonderful...everyone should wear them all the time!

13 Weeks

I feel silly posting the tummy pictures so it was taken me a while to post the picture from 13 weeks but enough people have told me they were looking for it...so here it is...

At 13 weeks I gained about 2 pounds. My clothes still fit but I can tell my tummy is expanding. I've been feeling good for the most part but have had a few rough days. We should be able to find out if we are having a boy or girl on January 7th...we are very excited.

Get Ready for a New Schaus!

We are very excited to announce a new member of the family is due on June 10th! We heard the heartbeat yesterday and everything is going good! Count down is 209 days...we can't wait!

NYC

After Steph's match we took a road trip to NYC for the weekend. It was our first time in the "Big Apple" and really enjoyed it. It wasn't as intimidating as we expected. Dan had to drive through Times Square because our hotel was on Broadway and loved it.

View of the city from Ellis island.

We were unable to go inside the Statue of Liberty. We found out too late that you need to need tickets a week in advance.

This picture doesn't due justice. The view of the city from the Empire State Building at night is AMAZING!!

Words couldn't explain Ground Zero.

The tree at Rockefeller Center getting ready to be decorated.

Visit to Philly

Jared, Sandra, Jim, Dan, and I went to see Steph's last volleyball game in Philly. Even though they didn't win it was a great game (even went into overtime) and Steph played amazing! It was a very good game to end her college career. Lots to be proud of!
Steph shows how it's done!

While in Philly we also visited the historic district. One highlight was Independence Hall. It was very neat to be in the same room as our founding fathers -- where our Declaration of Independence and The Constitution were signed!

Dan and I in front of the Liberty Bell.

War Eagle!!

Auburn's upset against the Gator's made for quite an exciting weekend here in Auburn! Dan was happy about the win but....it was because all of the upsets this weekend helped the Badgers advance in the polls!!
